Take 1 part of PBS phosphate powder and dissolve it in deionized water or distilled water. If sterility is required, autoclave at 121°C for 20 minutes. (For example, the 100 mL dry powder dissolved in 100 mL deionized water, the 1L dry powder dissolved in a 1L solution of deionized water, so on)

Store at RT, valid for 12 months.

PBS Phosphate Buffered Saline:

PBS Phosphate Buffered Saline is phosphate-buffered saline, which can provide a relatively stable ionic environment and pH buffering capacity. It is a buffered salt solution often used in biology for molecular cloning and cell culture. The pH is 7.2-7.4. Isotonic with human blood, the main components are potassium dihydrogen phosphate, disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, and potassium chloride.

Storage: Store at room temperature, valid for at least 12 months.

This product is 1× working fluid, after sterilization treatment, it can be used directly. Storage at 4°C can extend the shelf life of the product. Low-temperature storage is not recommended for long-term storage.

PBS Phosphate Buffered Saline Precautions:

In the process of using PBS, special care should be taken to avoid contamination of the solution by microorganisms.

PBS may precipitate at low temperatures. If precipitation is found, please place it in a 37°C water bath until it is completely dissolved before use.

For your safety and health, please wear lab coats and disposable gloves.

Phosphate-buffered saline (abbreviated PBS) is a buffer solution commonly used in biological research. It is a water-based salt solution containing disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, and, in some formulations, potassium chloride and potassium dihydrogen phosphate. The buffer helps to maintain a constant pH. The osmolarity and ion concentrations of the solutions match those of the human body (isotonic).

The pH of PBS is ~7.4. When making buffer solutions, it is good practice to always measure the pH directly using a pH meter. If necessary, pH can be adjusted using hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide.

PBS is an isotonic buffer frequently used in biological applications, such as washing cells, transportation of tissues, and dilutions. PBS closely mimics the pH, osmolarity, and ion concentrations of the human body. Since it is nontoxic to cells, it is extensively used for cell container rinsing and other preparations that might leave a residue. It is simple to prepare and has a good shelf life, but will precipitate in the presence of zinc ions.

PBS Phosphate Buffered Saline (1X, pH 7.4):

  1. Prepare 800 mL of distilled water in a suitable container.
  2. Add 8 g of NaCl to the solution.
  3. Add 200 mg of KCl to the solution.
  4. Add 1.44 g of Na2HPO4 to the solution.
  5. Add 245 mg of KH2PO4 to the solution.
  6. Adjust solution to desired pH (typically pH ≈ 7.4).
  7. Add distilled water until volume is 1 L.

Product Introduction

Balanced Salt Solution (BSS) is consistent with the pH value, osmotic pressure, and other environmental conditions in the cell growth state, and has the functions of maintaining osmotic pressure, controlling acid-base balance, and supplying the energy and inorganic salt components necessary for cell survival and metabolism. It can meet the basic needs of cell survival and maintenance of certain metabolism in vitro experiments.

PBS phosphate powder (0.01mol/L, pH7.2-7.4) is mainly composed of dibasic hydrogen phosphate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and potassium chloride. It contains a small amount of sodium chloride and does not contain calcium and magnesium ions. After dissolving in water, the pH is 7.2 to 7.4, and it is mainly used for immunohistochemistry, tissue sectioning, or other routine purposes.

Take 1 part of PBS phosphate powder and dissolve it in deionized water or distilled water. If sterility is required, autoclave at 121°C for 20 minutes. (For example, the 1L dry powder dissolved in 1L deionized water, the 2L dry powder dissolved in a 2L solution of deionized water)
